TURNER – Sam St. Hilaire spun a gem of a game, striking out 13 and surrendering one run as Leavitt handed Mt. Ararat a 7-1 setback in KVAC softball Friday afternoon.

St. Hilaire helped her own cause by belting a pair of triples. Jess Paladino added a triple as the Hornets moved to 12-4 on the season.

The Eagles were led by Jessie Gamrat with a pair of singles.

Livermore Falls 5, Madison 4

LIVERMORE FALLS – Katie Warren’s infield grounder brought in Rachel Ventrella in the fourth inning to secure the Livermore Falls win over Madison 5-4 Friday.

Jenika Kelley smashed a two-run triple in the first inning to give the Andies (9-5) the early lead. Rachel Ventrella chipped in with an RBI double in the fourth. Cassandra Purington had a strong day defensively for the Andies, recording six strikeouts on the mound and catching three key pop flies for the win.

Breanna Connors hit a two-run triple, while Rachel King and Ashley Marandola each hit doubles for the Bulldogs (10-5).

Mt. Abram 16, Boothbay 4

SALEM – Ashley Dalessandro belted a home run and added a single during a six-run outburst in the second inning to send Mt. Abram to a 16-4 win over Boothbay Friday afternoon.

Sadie White added a double and Stephanie Hood chipped in with a pair of singles. Katie Walker tossed a four-hitter en route to the complete game victory for the Roadrunners (8-6).

Mindy Heaberlin had a triple for the only extra base hit for the Seahawks (3-10).

Telstar 11, Dirigo 0

BETHEL – Jessie Farrington fired a no-hitter as Telstar handed Dirigo a 14-0 loss in MVC softball action Friday.

The Rebels (12-0) exploded for 11 runs in the first inning behind a bases-loaded double by Jillian Kimball (three RBIs) and doubles by Kayla Mills (three hits), and Krystle Gould (three hits) for all the runs needed as Telstar kept their record perfect on the season.

Abby Fenstermacher took the loss for the Cougars (1-11).

Geo. Valley 8, Lisbon 6

LISBON – Elena Bertocci hit two doubles and drove in one run to lead Georges Valley to an 8-6 victory over Lisbon in softball action Friday afternoon.

Rachel Strong hit a two-run double, Rachel Campbell added an RBI double, while Lacy Strong and Megan Watts each had a double apiece for the Buccaneers (10-1). Rachel Strong fanned eight batters for the win.

Soleil Mathieu had two hits, including a double, for the Greyhounds (7-7).

Gardiner 2, Oxford Hills 1

GARDINER – Kelsey Moody singled up the middle to bring in Amanda Abbott with the game-winning run to lift Gardiner to a 2-1 victory over Oxford Hills in KVAC softball action Friday afternoon.

Courtney Allen had a solid day on the mound for the Tigers, posting 12 strikeouts. Amber Miller recorded the lone extra base hit of the contest with a double.
