SCARBOROUGH – Farmington Hannaford Supermarket Pharmacy Store Manager Todd Bullen was named Hannaford Supermarkets’ store manager of the year at a celebration at the company’s corporate headquarters in Scarborough recently. This is the second time Bullen has won the prestigious award. He was named previously in 1999.
The award is presented annually to a store manager who has shown exceptional skills and commitment to leadership, customer service, communication, teamwork, community involvement and business growth.
Bullen joined Hannaford Bros. Co. in 1986 and worked in the Skowhegan and Jay stores before becoming store manager of the Farmington store in August of 1997. A resident of New Sharon, Bullen and his wife, Amy, who is the assistant director at the Creative Care Child Center in Farmington, are the parents of Kaitlyn, 13, and Meghan, 11. Todd is the son of Dana and Jan Bullen of New Sharon.
Under Bullen’s leadership, turnover, among store associates was low, customer satisfaction was consistently high.
Bullen is committed to the local community, serving as the vice president of membership in the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. He is also involved in other community projects, and serves as a Junior Achievement volunteer.
Bullen received his master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College in Waterville. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Maine in Augusta.
Hannaford Bros. Co., based in Scarborough, operates 142 supermarkets and food and drug combination stores in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Massachusetts.
