CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Police say they have caught a bicycling bank robber who hit three banks in southern New Hampshire in the last five weeks.
Robert Clark, 31, of Turner Falls, Mass., was in federal court on Tuesday to answer to charges that he robbed banks in Keene, Wilton and Troy since late August.
The Wilton robbery was at a bank on the Wilton-Milford line and initially had been reported as being in Milford.
Police say Clark was arrested last week on other charges after a wild chase in the Lakes Region in which he allegedly rammed several police cruisers.
Police affidavits say he then admitted to the robberies and reported he buried the stolen money in a plastic bowl in Sanbornton. The affidavits say Clark told police he dumped guns in a swamp in Massachusetts.
He is being held pending a hearing Nov. 3.
