LEWISTON — Cheryl A. Wardwell, 52, of 363 Main St., Lewiston, died Friday, Sept. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Washington, D.C., July 22, 1958, the daughter of Helen Payne. She grew up in Richmond, Mo., and graduated from Richmond High School. She was employed for many years as an administrative assistant for Lewiston Adult Education, as well as being a loving and caring mother.

Survivors include her mother, Helen Payne of Richmond, Mo.; life-long friend, Donald Wardwell of Auburn; three sons, Donald of Portland, Ore., Robert of Auburn and Cory Pelkey and wife, Kristen, of Bowdoin; two daughters, Amanda of Lewiston and Jamie and husband, Shawn Jordan, of Auburn; a sister, Pamela and husband, Bruce McKimens, of Blue Springs, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Tristan Wardwell, Christian Jordan and Danica Jordan.
