A Lewiston man was ordered to prison for nearly two years Thursday, convicted for his role in a break-in during which 14 guns were stolen from Pine Tree Trading on Lisbon Street.

Troy Bradley, 20, was sentenced to 20 months in federal prison. He was fined $500 and ordered to pay $925 in restitution to the pawn store.

Bradley was found guilty in U.S. District Court in May on charges of theft from a federally licensed firearms dealer and possession of stolen guns. He faced up to 10 years in prison.

According to prosecutors, Bradley assisted co-defendant Michael Hatch in the 2008 burglary. Investigators said Bradley provided Hatch with several items used to break into the business, including a pry bar, gloves and a duffel bag.

Bradley drove Hatch to the store and drove him away after the burglary, prosecutors said.

Hatch later cooperated with the investigation and was sentenced to three months.

The heist brought federal agents to Lewiston as police sought the suspects and the stolen guns. Each of the 14 weapons was found but had not been returned to Pine Tree Trading. The store could get the firearms back next month if Bradley does not appeal the case.

On Thursday, he was being held at the county jail on an unrelated terrorizing case. He is expected to be moved to a federal prison once that sentence is complete.
