AUBURN — Robert Dennis Simard, 56, of Auburn died Saturday, Oct. 23, at his residence 1092 Hotel Road with his loved ones by his side.

He was born on May 10, 1954, the son of the late Hilarion and Grace (Gagnon) Simard. Bobby’s Red Sox, Bruins and football have lost a very special fan. His trips to Cole Farms with Donald and Phyllis or his Sunday meals at Lucille’s house and mail from Paula will always remain in our hearts.

Bobby is survived by Donald and Phyllis Simard of Auburn, Paul and Adele Simard of Sunset Beach, N.C., Lucille Poulin of Lewiston, Dolores and Paul Bean of Baldwinsville, N.Y., and Louise and Maurette Brown of Minot; many nieces and nephews; his housemates, Geraldine Dunn, George Gagnon and Gloria Murray; and also a friend, Sheryl Hamilton of Auburn. Besides his parents, Bobby was predeceased by a very special friend, Marie Ange Lessard.

On behalf of Bobby his family would like to give a very special thank-you to the John F. Murphy Homes and especially the staff at 1092 Hotel Road for the care, love, and dignity they gave to Bobby, including Diane Clukey, Danielle Garneau, Shirley Bowen, Margie Smith, Sarah Wright, Rena Harvey, Sue Bardier-Haynes, Tam Chandler, Brea Pelletier, Tina Corriveau, Nicole DeBlois, Dolly Maroon, Sue Blake, Kathy Wade, Tammy Thurston, Scott “Guitar” Gallant, Terry Tremblay, Rachael Gray, Helen Dunphe and Jim Morneau.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Paul Davis and the staff of Court Street Family Practice for their kindness and love given to Bobby.
