AUBURN — John and Maureen Mooney of Auburn are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Benjamin Edward Mooney, to Kristi Nicole Gaston, daughter of Kaye Gaston of Harleyville, S.C.

Miss Gaston graduated in 2007 from Harker Heights High School in Harker Heights, Texas.

Mr. Mooney graduated from Edward Little High School in 2005 and from SUNY Maritime College in 2011, where he received a bachelor’s degree in mechanic engineering. He is stationed in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., as an ensign in the U.S. Navy.

They are planning a 2013 wedding in Maine.
