RUMFORD — Magda G. E. Daoud, M.D., has been appointed to the Rumford Hospital medical staff. She is practicing at Dixfield Family Medicine.

Daoud’s professional background includes work at hospitals in the United States, United Kingdom, and Egypt, where she has practiced as a family physician and obstetrician-gynecologist.

Daoud was educated in a French Missionary School in Egypt and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Cairo University in Egypt. She was awarded her medical degree from Cairo University’s Kasr el Aini Hospital.

She completed a family medicine residency at UHS Wilson Hospital in Binghamton, N.Y., and an obstetrics-gynecology residency at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, United Kingdom.

Daoud’s special interests are women’s health, including Pap smears, breast exams, osteoporosis screening, and preventive medicine.

She is practicing in association with Sean Callender, M.D., Stephanie F. Youd, M.D., and advanced practice registered nurse Christopher Polich at Dixfield Family Medicine, 146 Weld St., Dixfield. The practice can be reached at 562-4226.
