LISBON — Members of the Lisbon School Department Community Service volunteer groups recently celebrated the end of another successful year of contributing to school and community projects.
According to Monica Millhime, community resource and volunteer coordinator, “The 2012-2013 school year marked the achievement of over 1,000 trained volunteers in Lisbon.”
Members of the Lisbon High School Class of 2013 achieving over 100 hours of community service were recognized with a Presidential National Volunteer Service Award and received purple stoles to wear at graduation.
Lisbon High School seniors receiving the purple stole at graduation were: Tyler Daly, Kristianna Benoit, Kaci Wedberg and Brett Williams.
Certificates of achievement were awarded to Kayla Angelico, Sarah Stone and Jaymi Thibault.
Underclassmen receiving the Presidential Awards were Paula Caron, Abigail Roy, Sierra Crosby, Sarah Craig and Stefan Smith from the Class of 2014; Jack Caron and Connor Craig from the Class of 2015; Natalie Thomsen, Spenser Thebeau, Jordan Frederick and Jared Williams from the Class of 2016.
Students receiving certificates of achievement were Erik Chapman, Dillon Clifford, Jennifer Clifford, Nick Corey, Brittany Couillard, Justin Crocker, Keely Domini, Paige Galligan, Kelly Galligan, Shantal MacWhinnie, Nichole Jones, Dillon Poole, Tabitha Porter, Jennifer Runyon, Jennifer Smith, Brianna Sult, Lacey Thomsen, Emma Wilson, Kristopher Benoit, Charles Sult, Draven Walker, Lillian Wade, Dustin Wood, Kristen Wood, Robert Wood, Jake Angelico, Alyssa Briglio and Cassidy Daly.
Philip W. Sugg Middle School students receiving the National Presidential Service Award were Joey Frederick, Benjamin LeClair, Jacob LeClair, Geoffrey Shambarger, Morgan Roy, Seana Creasey and Silas Crosby.
Students receiving certificates of achievement were Joseph Couillard, Anna Willey, Ethan Braley, Celeste Brissette, Emma Houle and Lorean Reed.
Carolyn Shane from Lisbon Community School received the National Presidential Service Award.
Giana Russo, Charlee Cox and Colin Houle received certificates of achievement.
