LEWISTON — Pearle Maxwell Hall, 91, of Wales died Saturday, Sept. 10, at Montello Manor, surrounded by her family.
She was born to Clifton and Tessie Maxwell on May 5, 1925, in Wales. She was educated in Wales schools and graduated from Lewiston High School. Pearle was married to Donald G. Hall on July 3, 1943.
They resided in Wales throughout their lives where her primary jobs were raising their four children, maintaining a spotless household, and feeding anyone who passed through their doors. She was especially famous for her outstanding pies and cookies.
She is survived by her sons, James Hall and his partner, Betty Douglas, of East Dixfield and Orman (Cy) Hall and his wife, Ruth, of Wales; and her daughter, Beverly Hall of Standish; her sister, Norma Maxwell Linton and her husband, Dale, of Litchfield; and her brother, Norman Maxwell and his wife, Shirley, of Wales. She will be missed by her beloved grandchildren, James Hall Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Scarborough, Mark Hall and his wife, Tammy Ricker, of Mt. Vernon, Jessica Hall and her wife, Angela, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jennifer Hall and her husband, Mike, of Sabattus, Shannon Pinard of Wales, Adam Hall and his wife, Lana, of Wales, and Benjamin Hall of Spokane, Wash. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pearle was predeceased by her husband, Donald; a son, Thomas; a brother, Clifton (Joe) Maxwell; and sisters, Lillian Maxwell Burgess, Ruth Maxwell Wright Burgess, Shirley Maxwell Skidgell and Pauline Maxwell Poussard.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
