STRATTON — Elementary and middle school students at the Stratton School learned about local agriculture on Sept. 23 when they visited a local farm and fair.
Elementary school students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade visited Bachelder Lane Farm in Stratton, where they learned about and practiced milking goats and cows, making ice cream and caring for livestock, such as cattle, pigs, rabbits and poultry.
Middle-schoolers in grades five through eight visited the Common Ground Fair in Unity and observed agricultural demonstrations.
