LEWISTON — The United Way of Androscoggin County (UWAC) Community Investment Funding application process is now open.
Qualifying programs must apply to a specific outcome in one of three priority areas of education, financial stability or health. An agency may submit multiple applications for different programs. Any agency that has never received UWAC funding or did not receive UWAC funding last year must submit a letter of intent by 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6. Applications are due by 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16.
To qualify for funding, agencies must have proof of 501c3 status, file a 990, provide the latest copy of an audit, have a volunteer board, written personnel policies, be in good standing with the Maine Secretary of State and have appropriate insurance coverage.
All agencies should contact Director of Community Engagement Kim Preble for a further list of qualifications to submit an application.
