Church members change service time

WILTON — Church services are held at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at the Wilton United Methodist Church.

A new sign installed on Tuesday indicated the service is held at 11 a.m. Church members changed the time of the service to 10:30 a.m. in early January.

Daughters of Isabella Circle meets

JAY — Daughters of Isabella Circle 677, St. Rose of Lima Parish, met Jan. 10. Following recitation of the rosary led by Chancellor Maryette Castonguay, reports were read and accepted.

Maryette Castonguay spoke about the baked bean supper to be held on March 10. Requests were made for desserts, help is needed for the Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday the weekend of Feb. 3 and 4. Donations will go to the Tri-Town Food Cupboard.

Vice Regent Judy Pottle talked about “Hands Around the Capitol” to be held Saturday, Jan. 20, starting with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s Church, celebrated by Bishop Deeley. Other events will follow and a march to the capitol will be held.

Catholic school open house planned

BRUNSWICK — St. John’s Catholic School will have an open house from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at 37 Pleasant St.

St. John’s is an elementary middle school ranging from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade serving students from Brunswick, Topsham, Freeport, Harpswell, Bath, Wiscasset and Boothbay.

Kid’s Connection at The Ark

LEWISTON — The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe will host Kid’s Connection at 10 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month at 791 Lisbon St.

This monthly program includes creative, hands-on learning with arts and crafts, Bible stories, practicing healthy habits and nature exploration.

The program is free for children ages 6 to 12, but registration is required.
