SOUTH PARIS — It is with great sadness that the family of Kevin Robert O’Connor, 48, shares news of his unexpected passing July 17. He was born in Norway on April 4, 1970, the son of Judith Edmunds O’Connor and the late Robert O’Connor of Oxford.
As a child, Kevin attended local schools. Growing up, he loved to go camping and fishing, enjoyed drawing, was an enthusiastic wrestling fan, played Little League baseball, and was an avid bowler. He often spent time with his Nana and Grampa in Market Square, and enjoyed visiting his special friend, Minnie Stone, for his favorite meals. Over the years, Kevin was employed by Oxford Homes, Miller Shoe in Norway, and Ames Home Center in Canaan. Some of his proudest moments were of his son, Sam, graduating from college, and holding his daughter Katrina’s hand during the birth of his grandson Liam.
Kevin is survived by his son, Samuel of Waterville; daughter Katrina of Bridgton; daughter Deanna Male of Auburn; grandson, Liam, of Waterville; mother, Judith O’Connor of Oxford; brother, Michael O’Connor, and wife, Shari, of South Paris; sisters Kathy Chalas and husband Mark of Plymouth, Mass.; Nancy Ames and husband Tim of Canaan; and Kimberly Amalfitano and husband Neil of Oakland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Lauren Chalas, Jeff Chalas, Ryan Ames, Nicole Ames, Cody O’Connor, Brynn Field, Anthony Amalfitano and Benjamin Amalfitano.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert K. O’Connor; his paternal grandparents, Leicester and Mildred O’Connor; and by his beloved Nana and Grampa, maternal grandparents Elmore and Muriel Edmunds.
