RUMFORD — Hilda R. Wild, 84, of West Paris passed away Friday, Sept. 7, at Rumford Community Home. She was born in Shelburne, N.H., on Sept. 27, 1933, the daughter of Edward and Leota Corriveau Wild.

For many years, she had been employed in the laundry at Ledgeview Living Center. She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Woodstock. She supported the Forestdale Christian school at the church. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and helping people. She loved her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister, Lucille Wilson, of Rumford; her brother, Yves Wild, of West Paris; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Woodstock. Burial will be at Hazelton Cemetery in Shelburne, N.H., at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Forestdale Christian School, 27 Perkins Valley Road, Bryant Pond, ME 04219. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris.
