Coach: Jon Furbush (11th year)
Conference: NESCAC
Last year’s results: 12-12 overall, 4-6 in NESCAC play (tied for seventh place).
Returning players: Seniors — G Eli Frater (3.9 points per game last year), F Brandon Galloway (2.4 ppg), C Nick Lynch (8.5 ppg), G Max Hummel (7.7); Juniors — G Kody Greenhalgh (5.2 ppg), G Jeff Spellman (14.8 ppg), G Tom Coyne (11.5 ppg), G Nick Gilpin (6.1 ppg); Sophomores — G Malik Velmar, G/F James Mortimer, G David Akinyemi, F Sunny Piplani, G Billy Lahart, G Raheem Spence.
Key losses: Justin Zukowski, Shawn Strickland.
Promising newcomers: Freshmen — C Kenny Aruwajoye, G Joe Collins, G Cole Phaire, F Andrew Snoddy.
What to expect: Furbush thinks his team has gotten a lot better from last year, but he’s not sure that any NESCAC team has gotten any worse. The Bobcats have brought in some “good size” in their freshmen class, which means returning players can move back to more natural positions and the team can match up better with opponents. Furbush doesn’t think it’s unrealistic for his team to finish in the top half of the NESCAC, but making open shots that didn’t go in last year will play a big part in determining if that happens.
