OTISFIELD — The Board of Selectmen will meet next week to discuss putting a structure over the fuel tanks outside the Town Office to prevent fuel from congealing.

The regular board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the municipal building on Route 121.

Anne Pastore, the town’s administrative assistant,  said there have been a couple of instances this winter where fuel in the furnace at the Town Office has gelled.

“We had to have our furnace guy come and heat it up,” Pastore said. “We’re wondering why this is happening now, when we’ve certainly had colder winters in the past.”

Pastore said it was suggested recently the town place a structure over the fuel tanks.

Other items for up discussion include the 2018 Town Report, maturing tax liens, the animal control officer’s 2018 report and the sand shed.
