NORWAY — The Table, located at 160 Main Street in Norway has a busy month planned for June with the Weekly Free clothing give away, free breakfast (Norway Grange), recovery groups and Kayaking on area bodies of water.

The Table is delighted to offer free clothing on Saturdays in June from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 19 Men’s and older boys, June 26:Women’s and older girls. The Table is located at 160 Main St. in Norway (across the road for the hospital). Staff will be on hand to help customers find specific clothing to aid in an efficient flow through the building. Customers will be required to wear a mask if they are not fully vaccinated. All Customers will be asked for their first name and contact number for contact tracing.

The Table’s HOGs (Healthy Outdoor Group) have transitioned from hiking to kayaking in June. The HOG’s have hiked through the winter and spring hiking 17 different hikes thus far in 2021. The goal this summer is 21 different bodies of water. The group was successful in meeting their goal last year of 20 bodies of water in honor of the summer of 2020. The kayaking schedule is as follows. June 6th the group made of of twelve kayakers went to River Park in So. Paris, Formally the water district. On June 13 the group will kayak Kezar Lake, Lovell. Plenty of parking. The group will meet at Melby’s parking lot in Waterford at 12pm and follow each other to the boat landing., June 20th Marshall Pond in Hebron, limited parking, may need to combined where possible. June 26th SATURDAY North Pond in Norway. Plenty of parking. HOG’s kayak on Sundays unless otherwise noted. Meet up is at 12:30pm and in the water at 1pm. People wanting to go and do not have kayaks can contact the group and reserve one of the groups extra kayaks. Life jackets are a must. The HOG’s will be offering midweek (Wednesday) Kayaking. Please follow The Table’s Face Book page for schedules. The HOG’s is a group of people enjoying the beautiful state of Maine and sharing it with others. The group is not a professional group. HOG’s are accepting donations of kayaks or monitory donations towards the purchase of kayaks.

The Table continues to offer free drive by breakfasts on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturdays at 9am at the Norway Grange on Whitman St. in Norway. The Table is always interested in other teams who would like to take a Saturday and serve breakfast.

The Table is an organization made up of people from the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, The Norway Grange and Community Members. The mission of the Table is to meet the needs of the community by offering healthy and safe programs for the people in the community. Anyone liking to donate clothing to The Table’s clothing ministry may drop off clothes at The Table on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s from 1pm-5pm.
