LEWISTON – Phyllis Ava Plourde, 87, of Lewiston, passed away on Sept. 16, 2021 at the Androscoggin Hospice House from a 10-year battle with cancer and other health issues. She was surrounded by her family.
She was born August 9, 1934, in Belfast, the daughter of William and Edith Towers.
She enjoyed all types of cooking and shopping. She also loved taking rides to visit the ocean. She loved her family and spending time with them.
Phyllis worked at the Hathaway Shirt Company, L.L.Bean and Tom Jones Photography over the years.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Edith Woodbury, Mae Moody and six brothers, Harold, Silas, Archie, Perley, Arnold and Stanley Towers.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Ralph A. Plourde Sr. of Lewiston; son, Kevin H. Plourde and wife Kimberly Plourde of Lynchburg, Va., their three daughters, Taylor, Shelby and Morgan; son, Ralph A. Plourde Jr. and wife Wendie Plourde of Hope Mills, N.C., their son, Joshua and daughter, Madison and her son, Billy; daughters Mary Montgomery and Katrina Plourde of Westerville, Ohio; sister, Marion Condon of Belfast.
Celebration of life service will be Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. to be held at Anchor Baptist Church, 775 Washington St., North Auburn, ME 04210.
