Natalie J. Coffin

NORWAY – Natalie J. Coffin, 91, died Friday Oct. 1, 2021, surrounded by family, at Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on May 18, 1930 the daughter of Lucien and Cherry (Noble) Frechette.

Natalie attended Norway schools and graduated from Norway High School (Guy Rowe School) in the class of 1947. After high school she attended the Unique Academy of cosmetology graduating and getting licensed in 1948.

Natalie Married Robert Arthur Coffin in 1948 and together they raised their seven children. They spent 58 years together before Bob’s death in 2006. She was a housewife and caregiver most of her life Working in the kitchen at Ledgeview Living Center for nine years and taking complete care of Bob for the last five years of his life.

She attended both the West Paris and Bryant Pond Baptist Churches, being born again at 31 years of age. She served God all her life, believing everything they processed belonged to God for his use and glory.

Natalie is survived by her children Laska Swan, Douglas Coffin, Roger Coffin, Wendy Chase, William Coffin, and Wayne Coffin; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Coffin; and son, David Coffin.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m., with interment at Lakeside Cemetery to follow.
