Michael “Mike” Lee Witas

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Michael “Mike” Lee Witas, 63, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 12, 2021, with his loving wife Linda by his side. Mike had such a kind, gentle soul and big heart who many admired. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born in Bermuda on Dec. 9, 1958, to Warren and Irene Witas. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1977. During his high school years he enjoyed weightlifting, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with friends. He wore #43 for the Edward Little High School Football Team who won the State Championships in 1976 and 1977.

Mike moved to Arizona shortly after high school. As the Scottsdale House Maintenance Supervisor for over 40 years, he enjoyed taking care of the grounds and residents of the community. He was loved by so many of the residents.

Mike and Linda were married on May 19, 1991. He was a doting husband and a wonderful father figure to her three daughters. Mike and Linda enjoyed going for long drives together, and spending time with family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Linda Witas and step-children Charli (Talley) Reynolds and her husband Bill, and Tammera Talley. His father Warren Witas, siblings Shari (Witas) Mendenhall and her husband Allan, Jeffrey Witas, James Witas, and Jennifer (Witas) Malloy and her husband Micah, as well as Aunts, Nieces, a Nephew, Grandchildren, and several Cousins who were his best friends growing up.

He was predeceased by his Mother Irene Witas, and step-daughter Emilee (Talley) Shaw, as well as his Grandparents and several Aunts and Uncles.
