Cecile T. (Hebert) Levesque

LEWISTON – Cecile T. (Hebert) Levesque, 93, of Lewiston, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021 at the Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born in Guerette, Maine, Feb. 14, 1928. The fifth child of Adelard and Yvonne (Lagassse) Hebert. She was 1 of 19 children. In 1961 she married Raymond Levesque the love of her life for 51 years. She went to school in a one room schoolhouse in Guerette. She completed the eighth grade.

Cecile worked as a waitress at (Jimmy’s Diner) for many years, she then sewed shoes at home while her children were growing up. She enjoyed spending time with her many sisters such as playing cards, miniature golf, trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas Casinos, she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making puzzles. Cecile had an abundance of faith and attended Mass on a regular basis. She enjoyed lots of laughs with her family and siblings.

Cecile is survived by her three daughters: Claire Levesque of Lewiston, Diane (Alan) Blanchard of Cumberland, ME and Rachel Levesque of Lewiston, two Grandsons Caleb Blanchard of Cumberland, ME and Matthew Blanchard of Andover, Mass.

She is also survived by nine sisters: Mildred Rioux of Auburn, Albertine (Rosaire) Poisson of Lewiston, Madeline Bowie of Connecticut, Evelyn Jean of Lewiston, Lucille (Richard) Gilbert of Poland, Marcella Hebert of Lewiston, Bernadette Posnick, Janet Baron and Sandra Dumais of Auburn.

She is also survived by three brothers: Roger (Theresa) Hebert of Millinocket, Reginald (Claudette) Hebert of Guerette and Marcel (Rita) Hebert of Auburn.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Raymond, and a son Gary. Also by three sisters Verna Levesque, Lorena Sedgeley ,and Odelie Lessard; three brothers Clifford, Robert, and Ronald.

Due to the Covid Pandemic, visitation will be at Fortin Funeral Home, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston, the funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston, and committal prayers to follow at St. Peters Cemetery will all be private for (immediate family members) only. Family members that are invited are required to wear masks as an expression of respect for one another’s health.
