I am voting for Bettyann Sheats for state Senate District 20 (Auburn, Poland, New Gloucester and Durham).

Ms. Sheats’ lived life shows she values service to her community and her country, values I  deeply respect. Not only did she graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and serve her country as a helicopter pilot, she raised her family and served as a community volunteer when her military service was complete.

She has served on the board of the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport since 2014 and became chair in 2018. When there was a sudden need she stepped down in September 2021 and served as interim manager of the airport until this past January.

I value her varied and selfless history of service to our country and community. In my opinion that is a requisite for the citizen legislator who represents our community.

I hope others will join me in supporting Bettyann Sheats for state Senate.
