SOUTH PARIS – Eloise M. Collette, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the Maine Veteran’s Home in South Paris. She was born in Norway on May 11, 1933 to Clarence and Esther (Martin) Merrill. Eloise graduated from Paris High School. She worked in the food service industry for Guy E. Rowe and was also a bookkeeper for her husband, Pete’s business, Trap Corner Garage. She had also worked at LaVerdiere’s & Rite Aid.Eloise was a great cook, seamstress and knitter. She was in the choir at Deering Memorial Methodist Church and taught Sunday School. She was kind, thoughtful and took great care of her family, including her parents and sister. She made her house feel like a home. She is survived by her children Brad, Bruce, Peter Jr., Tania and Barry, grandchildren Nicole, Katie, Eric, Jason, Chelsea, Joni, Jessica, Merrill, Cara, Justin, Stephanie, Ashley, Brittany and Nate, and great grandchildren Fletcher, Mason, Charlotte, Christopher, Chloe, Cage, Sophie, Raina, Easton, CJ, Atticus, Autumn, Archer, Alexander, Cody, Shawn, Isabella, Carter and William. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2016, her son Bryan, brother Sonny and sister Gloria. Family and friends may attend a funeral service on Monday, April 18 at 10 a.m., at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, South Paris with interment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in South Paris.
