Dorothy May Ames

SABATTUS – Dorothy May Ames, 88, of Sabattus, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. She was born in Pittsfield on July 24, 1933, to Frank and Marion (Wyman) Blanchard.

Survivors include her loving daughter Laura Ames-Smith and her husband Smitty, her loving grandson and granddaughter Joshua Lee Ames and Taylor Collins-Ames; two sons, Calvin and Michael Ames, her two other daughters Mona Lessard and Jacqueline Ames; grandchildren, Theresa and Susie Ames, Ben Lessard, Jared Ames; and many great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she is also predeceased by her husband Berton L. Ames, Jr.

A graveside service is tentatively scheduled at Broadview Cemetery, Lewiston, May 4, at 10 a.m. Arrangements under the care of the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home, memories may be shared online at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
