Rachel L. Beane

LEWISTON – Rachel L. Beane, 58, a resident of Lewiston passed away following a short illness Saturday June 11, 2022 at Central Maine Medical Center.She was born in Augusta March 16, 1964 the daughter of Henry and Madeline (Briggs) Allen. She was one of 14 children, and worked at several manufacturing plants. She was most recently a homemaker.Rachel loved playing Bingo, visiting fairs, and trips to California to see tigers. She loved boxing and was past East Coast Heavyweight Champion, coached by John Jenkins. She also loved dancing, old country music, taught line-dancing, crocheting, and having barbecues with friends. She will be missed by her many friends.Survivors include her husband, Norman, three sisters, Kim Kunze, Belinda Allen, and Marcelia Roberts, three brothers, Paul, Robert, and Alfred Magee; three children, Bobby Magee of Colorado Springs, Nicole McKenzie of Lewiston, and Richard McKenzie of Vassalboro. Also surviving are several grandchildren; a great-grandchild; as well as a special niece, Angela Bunnell of Standish.A memorial gathering will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday June 17 at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. A Celebration of life service will be held Sunday June 19 from 3-6 p.m. at the ACME Club 255 Park Street Lewiston.
