Brian Jay Allen

Brian Jay AllenB1945 – 2022BTURNER – Brian Jay Allen, 77, a resident of Turner, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 3, 1945, in Lewiston, the son of William Henry Allen and Winifred (Jordan) Hamilton. He attended school at Hebron Academy and graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner. On July 21, 1965, he married his wife of 57 years, Joanne Morris of Turner. Brian was owner operator of BJA Farms in Turner, driving long haul all over the country and Canada. Later he hauled chips and enjoyed that immensely.

Brian loved driving aimlessly on country dirt roads in his pickup or purposefully on major highways in his trailer truck, often hearing “Hey Plowboy! You got your ears on?” coming from his CB. No matter where, he always found his way home. He enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling, animals, history, Fred’s camp, talking on the phone with Reynard, and finding Mayflowers. He was known for his embellished storytelling! He had a keen sense of humor. His grandchildren considered him a prankster. He was generous and always willing to help out family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Allen and Jennifer Allen, his sons, Christopher Allen (Christine) and Travis Allen (Joanne). Grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Emily, Reese, Bailey, Noelle, Morgan, Maddie, and Grace. Great grandchildren, Woodrow, Hugh, and one on the way. Siblings, Robert (Hope), Sandra (Evaristo), Louise (Dave), Bonnie (Jon), Raymond (Claire) and Deborah (Kevin). As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family. He was predeceased by his parents, his stepmother Esther, sister Patricia, stepfather Roswell, and his son Brian Jr.

Thank you to Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice, especially Cami and Susan.
