Paulette M. Westleigh

AUBURN – On Sept. 9, 2022, Paulette M. Westleigh, 96, of Auburn, passed on to a better place.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 7, 1925, to Francois and Eva (Moreau) Roy. She went to local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School, class of ‘44.

On July 12, 1947, she married Arthur H. Westleigh. Arthur passed away on Nov. 28, 2008, after 61 years of marriage. She worked in several jobs in her career and retired from Mardens after 36 years, starting with the first Mardens Lewiston store to its present location.

She enjoyed knitting and working with and meeting new people. For many years she sang in the choir at Saint Patrick’s Church in Lewiston.

She is survived by one sister, Monique Simpson of Idaho; daughter, Susan Bouchard of Lewiston, son, Michael and wife Gloria of Lewiston, and daughter-in-law, Cathy of Lewiston. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; and a son, Paul. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Marcel, and Laurier Roy, and one sister, Georgette Smith.
