From 2016-2020, Bettyann Sheats was a critically important state representative. She helped reduce the cost of health care for Mainers, increase the state share of funding for local schools, improve housing for veterans, and provide tax incentives for start-up businesses.
Now her candidacy for state Senate is even more vital. Bettyann backs Maine’s current law on abortion and would protect the choices of women — at a time when lawmakers throughout the country are trying to control them.
She would continue to protect Maine’s beautiful environment as climate disasters devastate communities elsewhere.
She’d work hard to improve Maine’s education while some politicians are trying to interfere.
Bettyann served our country as an Army helicopter pilot. She’s owner of a local business, former chair of the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport Board, and volunteer for many community organizations.
I’m voting for Bettyann Sheats because she’s rock solid — just like Maine.
Who could ask for more?
Nancy Greene, Auburn
