GRAY — New Gloucester rode a 15-0 run in the second and third quarters to a 43-36 home win over Greely in a regular-season finale Wednesday.

Greely led 12-5 after one quarter, but a 3-pointer from Ellie Steele pulled the Patriots (15-3) within 18-16 at halftime. Gray-New Gloucester then went ahead for good in the third quarter and took a 29-23 lead to the fourth.

Ella Kenney and Alexandra Portas paced the Patriots with 10 points apiece.

Greely (8-10) was led by Kylie Crocker with 11 points and Cece Berthiaume with nine.

HALL-DALE 64, MONMOUTH 35: Hayden Madore scored a game-high 23 points as the Bulldogs earned the senior night win over the Mustangs in Farmingdale.

Amanda Trapanier added 13 points for Hall-Dale, which finished the regular season 14-4. The Bulldogs also got 10 points from Sierra Gibbons.

Holly Hunt scored 11 points for Monmouth (11-6), which also got 10 points from Kaitlyn Frost and nine from Reese Beaudoin.

MT. ABRAM 62, BUCKFIELD 41: Jenna Osgood scored 20 points and Abigail Wilcox 19 to guide the Roadrunners (8-10) to the easy win at Strong.

Josey Arms added 10 points for Mt. Abram.

Sarae Devoe had 16 points and Kianna Finnegan 10 for Buckfield (3-15).

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 49, ST. DOMINIC 35: Ellie Leech recorded 24 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists and seven steals to lead the Guardians (9-9) over the Saints (2-16) in Auburn.

Breckyn Winship finished with 13 points and seven rebounds for Seacoast.

Ava Apodaca led St. Dom’s with 12 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL
ST. DOM’S 60, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 42: Logan Carey knocked down six 3-pointers and scored 20, leading the Saints (8-10) past the Guardians (6-12) in Auburn.

The Saints established a 32-12 lead by halftime. Taylor Varney added another 11 points for St. Dom’s.

Isaih Cardinal scored 15 points for Seacoast.

MADISON 66, TELSTAR 24: Callan Franzose had 19 points as the Bulldogs (11-7) ended the regular season with an easy win at Madison.

Deacon Murray added 15 points and nine rebounds for Madison, while Ethan Linkletter pulled down eight rebounds.

Wyatt Lilly scored seven points for Telstar (1-16).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 99, WISCASSET 24: Jace Bessey sank five 3-pointers and scored 21 points as the Phoenix (14-4) marched past the winless Wolverines (0-17) in Jay.

Spruce Mountain leaped out to a 50-16 lead by halftime. Eli Timler scored 18 points and Lucas Towers added another 16 for the Phoenix.

Jevar Garricks and Dylan Akers each added eight points.

YARMOUTH 75, POLAND 44: Evan Hamm tossed in 29 points to lead the Clippers (14-4) past the Knights (4-14) in a WMC tilt in Poland.

Stevie Walsh added 18 points for Yarmouth.

John Patenaude paced Poland with 22 points, and Hunter Brackett and Hayden Christner pitched in with 10 and nine, respectively.

MT. ABRAM 101, BUCKFIELD 60: Payton Mitchell made four 3-pointers and poured in 34 points to lead the Roadrunners (15-3) past the Bucks (3-15) in Buckfield.

Mitchell scored 16 of those points in the opening quarter. He was one of four Mt. Abram players in double figures. Cam Grey scored 17, Tucker Plouffe tallied 15 and Kaden Pillsbury had 11. Reagan Lockaby came off the bench to score nine points.

Ayden Jefferson paced Buckfield, as he has throughout the season, with 33 points. Gavin Charest added 14 points and Jaiden Jack scored 10.

LEAVITT 68, BELFAST 52: Brett Coburn put up 23 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals and Wyatt Hathaway recorded 20 points and 10 assists as the Hornets (6-12) downed the Lions (1-16) on the road in Belfast.

Nick Morin tallied 11 points and 11 rebounds for Leavitt.

KJ Payson led Belfast with 19 points. Eli Veilleux added 14 points.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 72, GREELY 67: Aidan Hebert hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 3:09 to play and the Patriots (15-3) held off the Rangers (10-8) in Gray.

Gray-New Gloucester led 15-7 after one quarter, 32-26 at halftime and by 12 in the third quarter, but Greely rallied and took the lead midway through the fourth quarter on a 3-pointer from Tyler Pettengill.

Noah Hebert tied it with a 3-pointer, then an Aidan Hebert 3 put Gray-New Gloucester ahead for good.

Noah Hebert paced the Patriots with 19 points. Nate Hebert finished with 16.

Greely got 25 points from Pettengill.

BOYS HOCKEY
LEAVITT/GRAY-NG/OAK HILL/POLAND 5, CHEVERUS/YARMOUTH 2: Hunter Bussiere had a goal and an assist to lead the Kings (8-6) past Cheverus/Yarmouth (9-3-2) at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.

Nic Michaud gave the Kings an early 1-0 lead in the first period before Breck Langevin stretched the lead to 2-0 four minutes into the opening frame. Luke Gladu and Talon Langevin had the assists.

Conner Boulay made a cut across the crease and beat Cheverus/Yarmouth goalie Neal McQuarrie (15 saves) with a backhander for a 3-0 advantage late in the first period.

Hunter Bussiere extended the Kings’ lead to 4-0 midway through the second period.

Cheverus/Yarmouth scored twice late in the second stanza to cut the deficit to 4-2. Truman Peters had an assist on Quinn McCoy’s goal and scored on a breakaway for the second goal.

Will Keach added an insurance goal in the third period.

Kade Knight made 11 saves in the win.
