CANTON – Cecile M. Turgeon, 85, of Lewiston, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Pinnacle Health & Rehab following a long battle with dementia with her family by her side.

She was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on July 25, 1937, the daughter of Clarence L. and Mary Ann (Roy) Clinch.

She married Normand R. Turgeon on July 28, 1956, who passed on Jan. 13, 2010.

She was educated in Hartford, Conn. She was a homemaker until her children grew up. She then worked part time for American Greetings until her retirement.

She enjoyed her weekly Bingo nights with her friends and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She was a parishioner of Holy Family Church.

Cecile is survived by her three sons Mark Turgeon and his wife Patricia of Ramona, Calif., Norman Turgeon and his wife Lori of Oxford and David Turgeon and his fiancé Monica Greeley of Lewiston; one sister Anne Cry (Bob) of Smyra, Ga.; one brother Robert Clinch (Patricia) of Hartford, Conn.; seven grandchildren Veronica, Dominique, Courtney, Kalob, Travis, Alyssa and Cassandra; one great grandchild Christopher; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Barbra Rinaldi.

The family would like to thank Pinnacle Health & Rehab for the wonderful care they gave Cecile and most recently Carley and April from the Beacon Hospice Care for the great care they gave in her final weeks.

A Funeral Mass honoring Cecile’s life will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston 784-4023.
