Neal H. Weiner

AUBURN – Neal Howard Weiner, 70, of Gray passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 25, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Medford, Mass., on Jan. 12, 1953, a son of Bernard and Ruth (Snider) Weiner.

Neal was a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist with advanced national certifications in Medical, Cardiac, and Vascular Ultrasound. He worked most of his career at CMMC and CMIC with colleagues and patients who loved him. He belonged to several professional associations and published four articles in the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Neal was a faithful member of Temple Shalom Synagogue Center in Auburn, where he served on the Board for many years and was honored with Person of the Year in 1992. Neal enjoyed music and theater, playing Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls in high school. He loved camping, hiking, skiing, boating, fishing, and farming in the great outdoors; traveling; spending time with family and friends; action movies; and do-it-yourself projects. 

Neal is survived by his wife and best friend of 47 years, Lesli (Harris) Weiner, and his two daughters, Jocelyn Sage Mitchell and her husband Nick of Natick, Mass., and Corinne Rochelle Mockler and her husband Brian of New Gloucester. He also leaves behind his mother, a brother Alan Weiner and his wife Sharon, his three grandchildren, Graham, Boden, and James, and many beloved family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, David Weiner.
