SOUTH PARIS – Adrien A. Dumais, 76, of Lewiston, died Tuesday April 25, 2023 at The Maine Veterans Home in South Paris. He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 20, 1947, a son of the late Lionel and Grace (Fournier) Dumais. He was educated in local schools. Adrien proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard for 20 years retiring as a sergeant from Company C 133rd. He also worked for several years for the City of Lewiston Water Department.
Adrien was a member of the American Legion, past Commander, Knights of Columbus, 4th degree, the 20 M club and LeClub Pass-Temps. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following all the New England teams.
He leaves his five children, Michael Dumais and his wife Michelle of Auburn, Karen Cook of Oxford, Christina Dumais of Auburn, Louise Gauthier of Sabattus and Donald Bouchard and wife Lori of Lewiston; a sister, Helen St.Pierre of Litchfield, a brother, Donald Dumais and his wife Carol of Poland; and his five grandchildren, Stephanie Ray, Kyle and Tyler Ellingwood, Bryson and Jillian Dumais.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Dumais.
The family would like to send a big thank you to the entire staff on the B Unit at The Maine Veterans Home for the great care and dedication they gave to Adrien and his family during his stay.

Visitation Thursday May 4 from 9-11 a.m., with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m., all at the Fortin Group in Lewiston. Committal with Military Honors will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
