Deborah “Debbie” Renee Bussiere

HEBRON – Deborah “Debbie” Renee Bussiere, 62, of Hebron, died Thursday, July 27, 2023, at CMMC with her family gathered by her side.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1960. The daughter of Jean (Edgerly) Crowley. She had five sisters and two brothers. She was often a caretaker for her siblings and loved them all fiercely.

At a young age, she gave birth to her one and only son, Damien Pease, he was her brightest light and joy in life. Being a young mom meant growing up with her son, not only was she his mother but oftentimes his best friend.

He shares her love of the outdoors, cooking, family gathering and just having a good time. When she was 21 she met the love of her life, Nelson Bussiere. They later married on Aug. 29, 1992. They were about to celebrate 31 years of marriage. Nelson and Debbie were much like a compass. Guiding one another over the years through life’s twists and turns. They were always up for a good adventure, and you’d often find them taking scenic drives, fishing, and exploring the woods and rivers of Maine.

She held several jobs over the years including waitress, factory worker, cashier, and cook, but her true calling was taking care of her loved ones. Debbie’s love language was her cooking. She was an amazing cook and would often gather the whole family for large meals in her home each Sunday and for every holiday. If she was feeding you, she was loving you. And she did both well!

She was an amazing wife, mother, auntie, sister, and nana. Her family, and her grandchildren in particular were her biggest reasons to smile and push forward, despite her daily pain and struggles.

She was predeceased by her mother, and sister, Vickie Deschaine. Debbie raised Vickie’s daughter, Brittney Brown, like her own after Vicki passed.

Survivors include her husband, Nelson; her son, Damien and his wife Allison, their children, Michael and Mercedes Pease; her niece, Brittney and her husband Josh, and their children, Makaila, Madison, and Hunter Brown; and a special nephew she thought of as her own grandson Christian Leblond. She is also survived by her sisters Pam Merrill, Gayla (Ron) Rioux, Tanya Boutelle, Wendy (Maurice) Cyr; and two brothers, Mike Pease, and Randy Carter. Debbie will also be missed by Nelson’s brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews from both sides.
