I’ve served as an associate member of the Auburn Planning Board for almost a year, in which time it’s reiterated how important and thoughtful the work is. It’s a place where we’re building a stronger future for my young son and his generation.

This wouldn’t have happened without Mayor Jason Levesque first talking to me about getting involved and then his encouragement to apply. He answered questions, described how the local government works and how to uncover the truth. How actions taken today lead to a better tomorrow for our kids.

I hope this November, those of us who have children, work full time jobs, struggle with finding a home, child care, and more, take a minute out of our busy schedules and research the candidates for office. Vote for the ones who would lead Auburn forward and not backward.

For me the answer is clear: I’ll vote for Mayor Levesque.
