WINTHROP – William Arthur Young, 44, lost his life unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, in Lewiston.
Bill was a loving father, husband, and friend. A veteran of the United States Air Force. Bill has spent the past 12 years as an auto mechanic with various dealerships and most recently, Auto City, in Auburn.
Bill was known in his family and by his friends for his infectious, joyous laugh. He cherished the time spent with his family, and especially loved watching wrestling with his father. A favorite pastime was attending the Skowhegan and Farmington fairs to watch professional wrestlers live with the family, heckling them the entire time from the front row.
Bill is survived by his wife, Cynthia; daughter, Lauren, stepdaughter, Kayla; father, Robert; his sister, Wendy Bell and his brother, Robert Young; as well as his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Lexi, Audrey Bell and Isaac and Joshua Young, Abraham and Nathan Guilford.
Bill was predeceased by his mother, Peggy Young.
Bill’s memorial service will be at Hope Baptist Church, 726 Western Ave., Manchester on Friday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. There will be a time of visitation at the Church on Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
