Chilly temperatures and light snow will start the work week in Maine. Gradually warming temps then arrive by the middle of the week, with mild weather to end the work week.
A storm system looks to bring rain and a return to cooler temps by the weekend.
Monday will be chilly, and clouds will increase through the day. Highs will be in the upper 30s to around 40.
A round of light snow then moves in for Monday evening and overnight. Most will just see some scattered flurries, but some patchy coatings are possible, with up to an inch in the mountains. This will come to an end by sunrise Tuesday.
Other than the chance of some slick spots Tuesday morning, it will be a cool and quiet day. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s with clearing skies.
Wednesday will be milder. Highs will reach the mid 40s for most with plenty of sun.
Thursday and Friday look mainly sunny and mild. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s to end the work week.
A storm system then arrives Friday night heading into the weekend. Widespread rain, gusty winds, and mild temps will persist into Saturday, with a big drop in temperatures Sunday.
