VIRGINIA – It is with a broken heart that his family announce that Johnnie I. Brown, born July 21, 1984, in Lewiston, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 1, 2023.
Johnnie I. Brown is and always will be a beloved family member never to be forgotten and gone way too soon. Moreover, because of his belief in Jesus Christ he lives on forever in our hearts, water, moon, stars, sky, mountains and sun.
He wanted to emulate Christ. In his darkest moments as a human being he was always humble. As of late he adopted the saying, “it is your world and I am just living in it” which in Christian language means; “I am in this world but not of it”.
Accomplishments that are of this world will not be listed, but one thing that can be said is he is a Disciple of Christ, follower of Christ and a fisher of men (all humans).
During one of the last conversations he said, “Mom I really want everyone in our family to be saved and baptized and living their best life”.
He expressed he wished this for the entire world, but in his heart, mind, body and spirit he really wants to see all his family in heaven.
Visitation for the Brown family will be private. A celebration of life at The First Congregational Church of New Gloucester for Johnnie will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. A committal service at Lower Gloucester Cemetery will occur on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 10 a.m.
Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin Group Funeral Home, 217 Turner Street Auburn, ME 04210, (207) 783-8545.
