ANDOVER – Victoria Simmons Meisner passed away peacefully in her Andover, home on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at the age of 74.
Victoria “Vickie” was the eldest child of David Aaron Simmons and Lorena Cushing Simmons of Andover. Vickie has been a resident of Andover, her entire life and was part-time resident of Fruitland Park, Fla., following her and her husband Marshall Meisner’s retirement.
Vickie graduated Valedictorian of the Andover High School class of 1967. She went on to study elementary education at what is now the University of Maine Farmington where she achieved a Bachelor’s Degree upon graduation in 1971. Victoria Meisner dedicated 39 years to elementary education teaching second grade at Andover and Woodstock Elementary School.
An integral member of her community, Victoria not only educated and fostered future generations, she was an Andover Olde Home Days committee member and co-chair for several decades. A spiritual woman, Vickie was an active member of her church in Andover as well as her church in Florida. Walking a path of faith, Victoria emulated grace, love, integrity, compassion and empathy.
Beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, colleague, friend and parishioner; Vickie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Marshall Meisner of Andover, her brother Bruce Simmons of Andover, and a sister Rebecca Simmons Nickerson of Rumford. Victoria is also survived by her daughter Megan Meisner Cote and husband Jason of Shrewsbury, Mass., her grandson Ethan Meisner-Nelson, a senior at the University of Mass. Amherst, and a granddaughter Alexandra Cote of Shrewsbury, Mass.

A service to honor and celebrate the life of Victoria Simmons Meisner will be held at the South Andover Church in Andover at a later date.
A graveside service will held in the spring at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Andover.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St Rumford.
