LEWISTON — Eight people were arrested earlier in the week after police conducted a search at a home on College Street.

Police and task force agents went to 149 College St. on Tuesday afternoon with a warrant where they found 17 people inside the single-family home, police said. They had been investigating the home based on reports of ongoing drug use there.

As police made their way into the home, several people attempted to flee, according to a news statement. Ultimately, police arrested eight people on a variety of charges. They also seized an ounce of fentanyl.

Arrested were:

• Jasmine Neill, 27, of Freeport on a charge of refusing to submit to arrest.

• Stephanie Hallmon, 45, of Lewiston on a charge of unlawful drug possession.

• Mohamud Nassib, 27, of Lewiston, was arrested for refusing to submit to arrest and violating conditions of release.

• James Roseney, 40, of Lewiston on a charge of unlawful possession of fentanyl powder, refusing to submit to arrest and on four warrants charging probation violations. He was also charged with failing to appear in court on various charges.

• Keosha Craig-Pontoo, 32, of Lewiston on a warrant charging unlawful drug possession.

• Ali Ali, 35, of Lewiston on a warrant charging failure to appear in court on a charge of criminal trespass.

• Ashley Langlois, 35, of Lewiston on a warrant charging failure to appear in court on a theft charge.

• Fritz Blanchard, 38, of Lewiston on charges of failure to comply with the sex offender registry and violating conditions of release.

The eight arrested were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn. The case remains under investigation.
