LIVERMORE — Selectpersons voted on Dec. 19 to change companies for technology services.

Expenet Technologies in Farmington had been providing those services.

Expenet is feeing Livermore to death, they are very pricey, Administrative Assistant Carrie Judd said. Livermore was on a month to month arrangement with Expenet, she noted.

“They estimated it would cost $12,000 to $15,000 for a new server,” Judd said “With Kyocera [Document Solutions] it was about $8,500.”

Kyocera Document Solutions has offices throughout the state, including ones in Portland and Augusta, she noted. Livermore is working with the Augusta office, Judd indicated.

“With Kyocera it puts everything in one place, is way cheaper,” she added.

In other business, Selectpersons voted to give Deputy Town Clerk Michelle Bernier a one dollar raise.

Michelle’s one year anniversary is this month,” Selectperson Scott Richmond noted. “At six months she was given a one dollar raise. At another six months she was to get another one dollar increase. It will bring her to where Jean Tardif [former deputy town clerk] was.”

Chair Mark Chretien said the latest raise would take effect Dec. 18.

Bernier’s pay rate is now $18.75.

“She has done an excellent job, is our very wonderful deputy clerk,” Richmond added.
