ISLESBORO — Brayden Monto’s 29-point performance led the Buckfield boys basketball team to a 63-49 win over Islesboro on Wednesday.
Monto made four 3-pointers. Justin Lucas contributed 17 points to the Bucks’ (9-9) victory.
Robert Conover scored 16 points and Harper Conover had 15 for the Eagles (8-10).
MT. BLUE 66, GARDINER 50: Carter Norton scored 21 points as the Cougars (15-3) took the victory in Gardiner.
Tyler Abell added 17 points and Evans Sterling 15 for Mt. Blue.
Brady Peacock led Gardiner (3-14) with 15 points, and Zach Kristan scored 14.
TEMPLE 70, RANGELEY 46: Peyton Reckards had 28 points and 14 rebounds as the Bereans (9-9) won in Waterville.
Nathan Corey added 24 points, including six 3-pointers, for Temple Academy, and Gabe Young scored 10. Ricardo Louis pulled down nine rebounds.
Brayden Thompson scored 17 points for Rangeley (5-13). Sam Morrill added 16 points and Anthony Whittier had 10.
WAYNFLETE 58, ST. DOMINIC 51: The Flyers (14-4) closed on a 23-13 fourth quarter run to rally past the visiting Saints (16-1) at Portland.
Ishan Reese had 16 points, 14 in the second half, for Waynflete, while Nico Kirby and Jed Alsup chipped in 12 points apiece.
Kai Taylor had 15 points for St. Dominic.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 46, KENTS HILL 14: Brooke Brown’s 16 points led the Falcons (9-9) to a victory over the Huskies (2-16) in Rumford.
Maisy Chase added eight points for Mountain Valley, while Alyvia Theriault finished with six points. Nine players scored for the Falcons.
Amelie Zachrisson was Kents Hill’s top scorer with four points.
DIRIGO 48, OAK HILL 45: The Cougars (6-12) used a balanced scoring attack to earn the overtime win in Wales.
Sophia Nino-Aguirre and Emily Woods scored 11 points each for Dirigo, followed by Aleiah Ward with 10 and Lana Waite with eight.
Mackenzee Wardwell scored 13 points for Oak Hill (1-17), followed by Kendall Theriault with 12 and Audrey McElhaney with 11.
WAYNFLETE 40, ST. DOMINIC 27: Lucy Hart scored 16 points, including three 3-pointers, Lauren McNutt-Girouard added 11 points and the Flyers (13-5) handled the Saints (10-8) in Portland.
Ayla Stutzman had eight points for the Flyers, who led 14-7 after one quarter and 23-10 at halftime.
Charli Apodaca scored 10 points for the Saints.
MONMOUTH 38, LISBON 6: Kaitlyn Frost’s game-high 11 points led the way for the Mustangs (7-10) in their road win over the Greyhounds (0-18) in Lisbon.
Hailey Rooney drained a pair of 3-pointers and added eight points for Monmouth, while Reese Beaudoin scored six points.
Deanna Adams led Lisbon with three points.
GIRLS HOCKEY
YARMOUTH/FREEPORT 9, MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE/MEDOMAK 1: Sophie Smith had four goals, Avery Buchanan added two and the top-seeded Clippers (15-4) handled the eighth-seeded Eagles (1-18) in a quarterfinal at Yarmouth.
Emma White, Isabel Peters and Celia Zinman also scored for the Clippers, who broke it open with a five-goal second period.
Val Swenson scored for Mt. Ararat.
BREWER/BANGOR/HAMPDEN/HERMON/JOHN BAPST/OLD TOWN/ORONO 12, EDWARD LITTLE/LEAVITT/POLAND 3: Paige Oakes had a hat trick and an assist for the second-seeded Pioneers (15-4) in their quarterfinal win over the seventh seeded Red Hornets (7-12) at Penobscot Ice Arena in Brewer.
Anna Molloy added two goals and two assists and Delaney Carr scored twice for Penobscot.
Jordin Williams assisted on six goals and scored one. Hanna Marsh, Isabelle Brideau, Meghan Delahanty, Sophie Helper each had a goal and an assist.
Kylee Spugnardi scored two goals and had an assist for the Red Hornets. Helena Moon also found the back of the net.
Pioneers goalie Abbie Derosier made 16 saves, and Izzy Jalbert stopped 55 shots for Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland.
GORHAM/BONNY EAGLE/MASSABESIC/FRYEBURG/LAKE REGION/WESTBROOK 8, GREELY/GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Greta Grant scored twice and had two assists in the second-seeded Rams (13-6-1) South region quarterfinal victory over the seventh-seeded Rangers (1-17-1) at USM Ice Arena in Gorham.
Emerson Homa and Katelyn Cyr each had two goals for the Gorham co-op, while Azalea Grant had a goal and two assists and Marissa Payne contributed one goal and one assist.
Charley Louie made 34 saves for Greely/Gray-New Gloucester.
