PARIS — Alexandra Thompson, local author/illustrator of children’s picture books, is visiting the Paris Public Library on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. She will read from the newest book she illustrated, I Am a Masterpiece, written by the actor and Down Syndrome activist Mia Armstrong, which is published by Random House.
Thompson will also talk about what it is like to be a children’s book author and illustrator. She wrote and illustrated A Family for Louie, published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons, and illustrated Ben & Emma’s Big Hit, written by California Governor Gavin Newsom. The event will include an activity handout, tied in with I am a Masterpiece, an Amazon editors’ January 2024 pick for children ages 3 to 5.
The event is free and open to all ages. For more information, please call the Paris Public Library at 743-6994 or email paris.public.library@MSLN.net.
