DEAR SUN SPOTS: It’s that time of year when The Heywood Club on Crockett Ridge in Norway is planning the 7-Mile Yard Sale for Saturday, June 8.

This is always a favorite event in the area. Not only do we have a yard sale at the clubhouse, but many neighbors join in and have a sale at their homes. The sale will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the clubhouse, but there will be many other yard sales in the neighborhood that go all day. This is your chance to pick up those items you have been looking for.

We are also looking for good clean, small items to sell at the clubhouse if you would like to donate something. We do not accept books, large furniture or appliances, clothing, or electronics.

Donations can be left on the front porch of the clubhouse. For more information, call Barbara Townsend at 890-2103 or Beth Abbott at 461-2334.—No name, no town

ANSWER: I can’t say enough good things about the Heywood Club, a Norway institution. Participate in this fundraiser by donating and enjoying the event. It’s a great way to socialize and find some bargains. Here’s to a lovely sunny sky for the big day!
