CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The Sugarloaf Region Charitable Trust recently distributed funds to community organizations.

A total of $36,650 was given to the Carrabassett Valley Recreation Department, town of Eustis/community donations shed, Stratton School soccer program, Kingfield POPS, Maine Mountain Children’s House, Literacy Volunteers of Franklin & Somerset counties and Greater Franklin Food Council’s school garden program.

The nonprofit trust’s assistance aims to encourage the growth in human service and cultural organizations and to develop new organizations that will involve and improve the Sugarloaf area.
