‘It’s a Scam!’ Presented by Oxford Federal Credit Union
Billions of dollars are lost to fraud and scams each year. In this free class for adults over 50, you will learn about common scam methods, how to spot them, and how to protect your finances. The presentation includes actual examples and real consumer stories, as well as time for individual questions.
This two-hour free informative class will be held on Tuesday, June 25 from 10 a.m.-12 and is presented by staff from Oxford Federal Credit Union at the Paris Fire Station.
To reserve a spot in this class, send an email to KC at rec@parismaine.org, call (207) 743-2501 x 8 or send a message to the Rec. Dept’s Facebook page at Paris Parks & Recreation Committee
In addition to their variety of community contributions, Oxford Federal Credit Union spends many volunteer hours each year presenting financial education and resources in classrooms and for organizations in Oxford County. In 2023, the Maine Credit Union League presented OFCU with the Desjardin Youth Financial Education Award in recognition of its dedication to community service and financial literacy. The local branch is located at 54 Fair Street in Norway. The Paris Parks & Rec Dept looks forward to working with OFCU in a variety of ways to support our community.
