The Paris Recreation Department and Oxford Federal Credit Union plan to offer a free class, It’s a Scam!, from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 25, at the South Paris Fire Station, 137 Western Ave.

The class is open to adults over 50, and provides information vital to vulnerable adults in Oxford Hills.

Billions of dollars are lost to fraud and scams each year. Class attendees will learn about common methods, what they can do to spot them and how they can protect your finances from them. The presentation includes actual examples and real consumer stories, as well as time for individual questions.
