Normand D. Potvin

LEWISTON – Normand D. Potvin, 85, of Lewiston, passed away on June 17, 2024.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1938 the son of Ernest L. and Lilyan D. (Cote) Potvin. He attended local schools, graduated high school and four years of college before serving 20 years in the U.S. Airforce. He married Joan A. Tardif and together they started an raised their family.

Normand was an active member of the Prince of Peace Parish serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Alter Server at funerals.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; he was a proud father of four children, Lisa Meservier and her husband Normand, John Potvin and his wife Heidi, Noal Hame and her husband Charlie, and Joey Potvin. He was a grandfather to 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, sister; and nephew.

The family invites you to a time of visitation on Friday June 21 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Pinette, Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 21 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St., Lewiston. A committal service will take place on Monday June 24 at 1 p.m. at Maine Veterans Cemetery (New), in Augusta.
