Pauline Duprez Fontaine

LEWISTON – It’s with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Duprez Fontaine.

On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 2 a.m., Pauline ended her 20 year battle with Dementia.

Pauline was educated in local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School Class of 1968. In 1971 she married Maurice Fontaine Jr. and together raised three children. Pauline enjoyed many years of camping with family and enjoyed dancing with Country Side Dancers.

Pauline was employed by the Lewiston School Department as a Librarian Assistant for Longley and Farwell Schools, a job she loved until she had to leave due to her health.

She was born in Lewiston, Maine on March 2, 1950, the youngest daughter of the late Raymond Duprez and Lauretta Pinette.

She is survived by sons Morey, Aaron and Julie and daughter Allison and husband Jared Rasmussen her five grandchildren Demetre, Ella, Ava, Tessa and Trapper; three sisters Claire Robichaud and her fiancé Conrad, Connie Beliveau and Claudette and her husband Marc Rodrigue; two special Inlaws Lucille and Paul Landry and Louise and Mike McClure; a friend and brother like: Marc Croteau and her caregiver Kafia Nour.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Roger Robichaud.

A Memorial Mass honoring Pauline’s life will be celebrated on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 1 p.m., at Holy Family Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 9 a.m., until the time of the Mass at The Fortin Group, 217 Turner St. in Auburn, 783-8545.
