DEAR SUN SPOTS: This week I have experienced such love given in downtown Lewiston. One of the places I visited was the Store Next-Door in the basement of Longley School (755-7252).

I was amazed at what they are doing for the youth as well as the adults in our community. There is such love and dedication from the people working there to help people in downtown Lewiston.

Should you have any used clothing— any size, shoes, underwear, cosmetics, and good items that you are no longer using, please bring it to them and they will be giving it to people in need.

The other place that I experienced such love was at La Cage on Ash St. The owners make everyone feel so special and help in any way they can. There are many articles written about terrible things happening in the downtown area. However, we do have a lot of caring people, too. — Marguerite, Lewiston

ANSWER: Thank you for your letter, Marguerite. Sun Spots is the place to share good news and you have made my day with your ray of sunshine. Despite the city’s struggles, there are positive things happening with many people behind the scenes ensuring that the good outweighs the bad. There’s so much to be grateful for.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: There’s a reference to ABC Antiques at 1065 Sabattus St. in the June 24 Sun Spots. They are no longer in business. The space is occupied by Tucci & Co Salon.
